FIRST TENTMAKERS GATHERING · NOVEMBER 8, 2026
CALLED
TO BUILD
Your business, your profession, your work. That's the calling.
Tentmakers is a community of Christian business owners, professionals, and ministry leaders who see their work as their calling.

WHO WE ARE
Most of us live split in two. Church on one side, work on the other — and neither room quite understands the other.
Tentmakers exists to close that gap. We believe the work itself carries the calling, not just what the work pays for.
We're just beginning. Our first gathering is November 8, 2026 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. What comes after it, we'll build with the people who show up.
WHY TENTMAKERS

PAUL MADE TENTS.
He worked the trade in Corinth alongside Aquila and Priscilla, and it ran right beside the preaching — paying his way, opening doors, putting him next to people. The work was never a detour from the calling.Tentmakers 2026 gathers Christian business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals who believe their work is their ministry — not a detour from it. Your business and profession aren't separate from your calling.
It's an old pattern. Lydia traded purple cloth, and her household became the first church in Philippi. Aquila and Priscilla worked the same trade as Paul and hosted a church in their home. The first churches were built by people who were also building their trade.
We're continuing something that has been running for two thousand years.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Your work is the calling, not a detour from it.
Wherever God placed you — the shop, the clinic, the office — that's the post.
Excellence is part of the witness.
An excellent business speaks louder than a good sermon.
We are called to solve problems.
Solving them takes more than donations. Ministries see them. Businesses can help meet them.
We get further together.
You don't have to figure this out alone.
WHY TENTMAKERS
THE FIRST
TENTMAKERS
GATHERING
One day with fifty Christian business owners, professionals and ministry leaders. Short talks from people doing the work, and a lot of time to actually talk to each other.

Latimer is a husband, business owner, and real estate investor based in Northern California. After spending nearly a decade in hospital administration, he now works as a consultant while continuing to pursue his passion for business and investing.
Holding a degree in Financial Management, Latimer has realized that financial success isn't just about assets and liabilities but is more about humility, grit, and time-freedom. His message is rooted in stewardship, generosity, and the belief that success in business does not have to come at the expense of others, but can be built through integrity, service, and genuine concern for people.

Lauren Lacson
Director of Communication and Media Production, Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists
Lauren Lacson serves as the director of communication and media production for the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, where she and her team help churches and schools communicate their stories and connect with their communities. With more than a decade of experience in communication and media, her work includes developing communication strategies, creating content, and helping congregations thoughtfully manage their online presence and reputation. She is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and finding creative ways to share who Jesus is and who we are to Him.
Lauren grew up in the church, and God has used personal experiences throughout her life to continue drawing her to Himself. She’s always had a love for art and creativity, and God led her to a career where she could use the gifts He gave her to serve Him. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Pacific Union College and has continued to develop her skills in leadership, strategic communication, social media, and design. She enjoys helping churches and schools communicate clearly and thoughtfully in an increasingly digital world.
Lauren lives in Southern California with her husband, Ryan, who serves as a pastor. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, good vegan food, and spending time with family and friends. Lauren hopes to use her gifts to share the church’s message, amplify the stories
of its people, and ultimately make Jesus easier to see.

Ryan Lacson
Pastor of the Sylmar Seventh-day Adventist Church and Associate pastor of the Burbank Seventh-day Adventist Church
Pastor Ryan Lacson serves as the sole pastor of the Sylmar Seventh-day Adventist Church and as the associate pastor of the Burbank Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern California. He is passionate about serving Jesus, preaching the gospel, and helping people experience a personal relationship with Him.
After graduating from college, Ryan had a personal conversion experience with Jesus that changed the direction of his life and led him into ministry. Since then, he has spent multiple summers sharing Christian literature throughout Southern California, helped build a church in South America, preached a Bible seminar in South Asia, and participated in various evangelistic and mission efforts.
Through the years, Ryan has served in preaching, evangelism, discipleship, church leadership, and spiritual revival. Of all his experiences in ministry, he has most enjoyed growing closer to Jesus himself and helping others discover what it means to know and walk with Him personally.
Ryan and his wife, Lauren, live in Southern California. Outside of ministry, he enjoys traveling, basketball, reading and fitness, exploring new places, and continually learning about leadership, health, personal development, and ministry. Above all, Ryan hopes his life and ministry will help people see Jesus more clearly and discover that God can still work powerfully through ordinary people and imperfect churches.
